Laws of Simplicity
Typography/Book DesignProject outline:
Laws of Simplicity by John Maeda was a great book and design material. For this project, we were asked to reimagine what one of the chapters might look like, exploring how design can visually reflect the ideas presented in the text.
My vision:
I chose to design Law 4, Learn, and paired it with imagery of Chinese calligraphy alongside English typography. This combination reflects the experience of a first-time learner navigating from familiar to unfamiliar visuals, capturing the transition between known and new knowledge.
